Waminda is partnering with Bendigo Bank from May 12th to May 30th 2025 for the BLANKET DRIVE. Community members can donate their new or pre-loved blankets in store to Bendigo Bank and these will be handed on to others in need. Read more about the story here
Reopening Celebration - Waminda had their grand reopening on April 29th. It was a wonderful success, with lots of communtiy groups and members dropping in to be a part of it. 19 Ballintine St, is now in full swing, with a range of programs available on site and off site. Read more here and here

Tech Hub - Learn the basics about technology in a relaxed, friendly manner at CWA Hall
Dancing – Get your groove on and join our vibrant community dance group!
Singing – Calling all music lovers! Our singing group is a great way to harmonize, have fun, and meet new friends.
Gentle Yoga – Relax, stretch, and improve your flexibility with our specially tailored gentle yoga classes.
Reading Buddies – Kids will have the chance to read to volunteers in a fun, supportive environment, building their confidence and love for reading!

This program is simple - it's providing free tech support to people over 50. The program aims to build digital literacy skills and confidence using the Be Connected Learning site. Support can be provided 1 on 1 or as a group. The type of support provided is guided by what people need and want to learn.
Waminda is open to the community, Monday to Thursday 9am to 4pm.
The house is closed Fridays, weekends and public holidays. Also school holidays unless otherwise advertised.
MEMBERSHIP
The community are invited to become members of Waminda Community House. Membership provides opportunities to build skills, be heard and develop the community. Discount is offered for courses as well as free entry to some Waminda events during the year. Members have voting rights and are able to stand for and elect members to the Board of Management.
